The Big Dipper
The Big Dipper is also known as the Plough. Seven stars make up the Big Dipper . It has seven of the brightest stars in the sky. If you find the Little Dipper, look up and you can find the Big Dipper. It is called a constellation and is made of different stars. Scientist think the Big Dipper will still look the same in 100,000 years. It has the brightest star in its constellation. The North Star is the brightest in the sky at night. The Big Dipper was named because it is shaped as a pan. Years ago people called them dippers. They dated it back in the 19th century.
